The Victorian Vengeance Haunted Weekend
Friday –
After checking in and enjoying a delicious evening meal, the shadows begin to stir. As nightfall takes hold, we venture together to the infamous Shrewsbury Prison, one of the most chillingly active paranormal hotspots in the country. Within its imposing walls, you will walk through icy corridors, deserted cells, execution areas, and the spaces where countless souls met their end. Echoes of torment cling to every stone. Many who enter feel watched… some even touched.
Saturday –
Following breakfast, daylight offers a gentler reprieve as you board your private coach to the world-renowned Ironbridge Gorge Museum, home to the extraordinary Blists Hill Victorian Town. Wander cobbled streets, peer into old-world shops, interact with costumed townsfolk, and feel history breathe around you in this immersive living museum. The afternoon brings well-earned rest as you return to the hotel to unwind and enjoy the spa before another delicious evening meal. But when darkness returns, so does the supernatural, we turn our focus to the haunted halls of Albrighton Hotel itself. With its long and turbulent history, shadowed corridors, and decades of unexplained activity, the building comes alive after midnight. Join us as we investigate the hidden corners and eerily quiet rooms where guests and staff have reported chilling encounters.
Sunday -
You will once again enjoy a delicious breakfast before heading home (checkout before 12pm).

Hauntings of The Victorian Vengeance Weekend
The locations we will be venturing into throughout this unforgettable weekend each hold their own dark secrets, chilling histories, and an extraordinary number of reported hauntings.
Shrewsbury Prison is a site we return to time and time again and with good reason. The activity here is astonishing. Countless guests have experienced footsteps echoing behind them, sudden drops in temperature, unexplained shadows, and the unnerving sensation of being watched from the abandoned cells. With centuries of suffering embedded into every corridor, this is a place where the past is very much alive… and eager to make itself known.
The Albrighton Hotel and Spa may appear serene by daylight, but those who have investigated its hidden rooms and forgotten spaces know better. This historic building is home to several ghostly residents, each with their own tale to tell. We won’t spoil what has been witnessed here but we can say with absolute certainty that once night falls, the atmosphere changes dramatically. Many guests report hearing whispers, seeing figures glide through doorways, or experiencing a sense of someone standing just behind them.
Our visit to Blists Hill Victorian Town offers a very different type of encounter. Although this is a daytime experience, the energy within the recreated Victorian streets is surprisingly intense. Some guests sense the presence of those who lived and worked in this era, lingering still among the old workshops, cottages, and shadowed alleys. Even the daylight cannot entirely soften the feeling that unseen eyes may be watching.
As for the Saturday night ghost hunt at the Albrighton Hotel, the building has been investigated only rarely and this gives the night a thrilling unpredictability. We cannot say exactly who or what you may meet within these walls, but based on previous activity, we are confident that the night will not disappoint. The spirits here are active, curious, and at times startlingly responsive.
History of The Victorian Vengeance Haunted Weekend
This weekend delves deep into the grim and unsettling past of Shropshire a county shaped by industry, imprisonment, and the shadows left behind by those who suffered within its walls. While each location spans different eras, the stories woven through Shrewsbury Prison, Blists Hill, and Albrighton Hall create a chilling tapestry of human hardship, loss, and lingering spirits.
Shrewsbury itself has long been associated with brutal justice. The prison stands as a stark reminder of centuries of punishment, public executions, and barbaric incarceration. These harsh conditions and tragic tales have left a mark on the building, and many believe that the intense emotional energy of its past is the reason for the extraordinary activity still experienced today.
Ironbridge and the Victorian town of Blists Hill offer a glimpse into a very different era, one of rapid industrial growth, dangerous working conditions, poverty, and social struggle. Life for many during this period was fraught with hardship, and the echoes of those who lived, worked, and died in these communities seem to linger in its old workshops, cottages, and streets.
Albrighton Hall adds another layer to this atmospheric history. With its long-standing lineage, quiet rural setting, and centuries-old stories, the building has accumulated whispers of hauntings that speak of personal tragedy, unresolved turmoil, and spirits who may have never truly moved on.
Understanding the history and the lives of the people who once inhabited these places will only heighten your connection to the locations and intensify the paranormal experiences that await. This is a weekend where the past refuses to stay silent, and the shadows are ready to reveal their stories.
