Your Ghost Hunt at Bramham Biggin
Access to Bramham Biggin is extremely limited. Through this exclusive collaboration with the Bramham Estate, Haunted Happenings is able to open the building for controlled, one of a kind investigations, offering participants a rare chance to step inside and experience it first hand.
This is a location defined not by stories that have already been told, but by those that may still be waiting to be uncovered.
Classified: Project Biggin is more than a ghost hunt, it is a structured paranormal investigation, designed to fully immerse you in the process from the very beginning.
This exclusive experience has been developed to give you the opportunity to actively explore, test and document activity within Bramham Biggin. With no established narratives or known hauntings, the focus is entirely on real-time discovery, observation and interpretation.
Throughout the night, you will be guided by the experienced Haunted Happenings team as you take part in a series of controlled investigations across the building, working both individually and as part of small groups.
As part of your experience, you will take part in a range of structured experiments designed to explore the environment using both modern and traditional investigative techniques.
These include:
Alone in the Dark

Ghosts of Bramham Biggin
Those familiar with the site acknowledge its unusual atmosphere.
Estate staff will not enter the building alone and some, even when accompanied, have reportedly refused to descend into the cellars or explore the upper floors due to the intensity of the environment. Such accounts add to the sense that Bramham Biggin is a location that leaves a lasting impression on those who experience it.
History of Bramham Biggin
Over the centuries, the Grade II Listed Bramham Biggin has served multiple purposes. Originally built as a private residence on the land which once was the site of the medieval Nostell Priory, it later became home to Bramham College, a respected 19th Century educational establishment. However, its legacy is marked by tragedy. A devastating cholera outbreak swept through the college, ultimately led to its closure after the students and staff succumbed to the disease.
Following this, the site fell into gradual decline, passing through various hands and uses before becoming unoccupied. Today, it is identified as a heritage building, with no public access and ongoing deterioration contributing to its distinct and unsettling atmosphere.
Inside, Bramham Biggin offers a stark and evocative setting. Large, empty rooms, worn staircases and the physical traces of past occupation combine to create a space that feels both historically significant and profoundly still. It is not a curated heritage attraction, there are no restored displays or guided pathways. Instead, it remains raw, atmospheric and untouched.
