Your Weekend Terror of The Tudors Ghost Tour
Your stay for the weekend will be at The Charlecote Pheasant Hotel near Stratford Upon Avon. This haunted hotel is full of history and sits next to Charlecote Park. It was once a farmouse but is now a vast sprawling hotel with many historical layers. This is the perfect hotel for our weekend tour as it boasts so much character, history and has been rarely investigated despite being in the heart of Shakespeare country.
Your Weekend Teror of The Tudors Tour begins on Friday night.
After a delicious 3 course dinner at The Charlecote Pheasant Hotel we will begin our short journey to Warwick Castle for our overnight ghost hunt. Warwick Castle needs no introduction to its hauntings and constantly retains its place as one of the most popular ghost hunting venues. With so many recorded ghostly apparitions, terrifying encounters and mysterious happenings, you will be working through the night in an attempt to encounter the ghosts and spirits of this infamous castle.
On Saturday after breakfast you will be taken by coach into Stratford Upon Avon. Our first port of call will be The Tudor Museum, also a great ghost hunting venue. You will be given a guided tour of the hauntings and macabre history by the owners of this incredible old building. After refreshments you will be given a tour of Stratford Upon Avon which is without doubt one of the most historical and haunted city's in England with its strong links to William Shakespeare. Once the tour has ended your tour will include access to Shakespeare's birthplace which you can visit at your leisure. You will also have time to wander around the many quirky shops of Stratford upon Avon and find a delicious place for lunch.
We will get back on the coach at around 3.30pm to return to the hotel for a well-earned rest. We will meet for dinner in the evening and then embark on a ghost hunt at the hotel during the night. The Charlecote Pheasant Hotel has been rarely investigated and we are really excited about what we may discover during our ghost hunt here. Staff and guests of the hotel have reported many strange sightings and there have been a lot of weird occurences in a couple of the bedrooms which we have access to for the night.
After the ghost hunt we will get together to discuss our findings for the weekend and after a welcome hot drink make our way to our rooms.
Hauntings of Terror of The Tudors Weekend
The locations that we will be visiting over this weekend have an abundance of recorded hauntings.
Warwick Castle itself is a place where we frequently investigate and have many returning guests due to the level of activity we experience here. It is a fantastic location and one that we are always eager to return to. With so many sightings to mention and so much activity experienced, we are keen to see what happens during this ghost hunt.
The Tudor Museum is also another location that we investigate frequently and whilst we do not want to spoil anything for you prior to your visit, we can say that you are definitely in for a ghostly treat. Shakespeare's birthplace is also a building that we will be visiting and we feel certain that whilst you are there you will feel the intensity of activity even during the daytime.
The Charlectote Pheasant Hotel has been rarely investigated so we cannot absolutely determine who or what you may encounter during our overnight ghost hunt but we feel sure that it will not disappoint.
History of The Terror of The Tudors Weekend Ghost Tour
This weekend is all about the Tudors and the macabre and terrifying history of the era. Whilst we acknowledge that Warwick Castle is probably more pre-Tudor we do know that it plays an important role in the emergence of the Tudor period. We like to explore the ghosts and spirits of the buildings that we investigate so learning about these important characters during the visits to the locations will only enhance what is sure to be a wonderful weekend ghost tour.
