Glossary of Paranormal and ghostly Terms

To help you understand the paranormal we have compiled a list of the most common terms used in the world of the paranormal and ghost hunting.

Malevolent Entities – These are spirits are either seeking revenge or a just dad tempered. They are known to attach themselves to the living and cause them distress and discomfort by imposing their personality on their victim.

Materialisation - This is the creation or appearance of matter from unknown sources. Some miracles reportedly involve materializations. Properly the most famous example of a materialization is the story of the multiplication of bread and fish by Jesus to feed a hungry crowd.

Manifestation – This is a sign of something existing or happening such as the appearance of a ghost or spirit. (See also Apparition)

Medium – This is a person who claims to be able to channel a spirit and be able to convey messages passed on by a spirit.
