The ghost hunt was fantastic and everyone had a brilliant evening, experiencing and witnessing strange occurences throughout the night. Reported sounds included the laughter of a little girl; the jangling of keys and a low voice saying 'keys'; a whistle from one of the cells and unexplained growls. Knocking was experienced in the crypt. Reported smells included the smell of dirty leather and the pungent smell of urine! A strange ball of light was witnessed by two people that went in a circle one way and then back the other before it moved off down a wall and around a corner, and a strange flash of light was captured on DV when the crypt was in complete darkness and all torches were off! A white blob was caught on camera between the battlements of the tower after the medium reported the spirit of monk wandering there. A couple of people witnessed some corner of the eye phenomenon in the form of dark shadows. Many people were touched and an unseen object was thrown at one of the team. Everyone experienced glass moving (at times violently), messages through the ouija board and table tipping (at one point being balanced on two legs and turned by an unseen force while everyone had one finger on the surface). There was even a couple of unexplained emotional outbursts that came and went for no reason at all! Philip Soloman impressively demonstrated his mediumship abilities which was intriguing and at times, very moving.
The night was a complete success and thanks go to all those who took part and showed their support and special thanks goes out to Hazel Ford and her Haunted Happenings Team and to Philip Soloman for taking time out of his busy schedule to join us.

I just had to mention what a wonderful location the Old Court House was and so full of haunted happenings! There was a lot of paranormal activity, particularly in the Archive Room (we were the Leaning Ladies by the way!) The high energy levels are usually a telling sign for us, hence my friend sways quite a lot and I tend to feel a bit drained and my legs become very weak. I would like to say a big thank you to Wayne and Ricky for looking after us by the way! There were many other things to remember and we might see you all on another event some time soon. All in all, the event was very interesting, scary at times and great fun as well.
All the best,
Wendy and Louise
Could you please pass on a message to Hazel and everyone at Haunted Happenings. The Skirrid Inn night was simply mind blowing. My Swindon College students said is was the most spectacular trip they have ever experience.
Jane Hendy was SUPERB!. This is the 4th Ghost Hunting event I have personally been on and Jane was light years ahead of any medium I have seen before (Including TV). extremely professional, with a very calming and amazing presence about her. 200% doing this every year and thanks to Haunted Happenings and the Skirrid Inn also.

I would like to thank everyone involved with this great night.I have been on other events with different companies but this was by far the best organised and there were plenty of different things to try.The glass session was absolutely amazing.I was always a bit sceptical about it but having experienced it I am sceptical no longer. Jane the host for the evening was great fun and made the night special for everyone.I will definately be seeing you all again soon

Thanks for a fantastic night at the Bull in the Thorn on the 4th December. Both myself and my friend Julie had a fantastic time. Thanks to Lisa, Martyn and Andy for making it a night to rembember. From the little girl that plays with peoples hair to the very nasty spirts that made us scream! It's definatly an experience we wish to repeat.

I have never been on anything like this before and didnt know what to expect, the activities were full of results especially the rods, i had quite a few scares and felt pretty sensitive to things around me (usually behind me) The building is fantastic and very very spooky.
My best yet worst experience was when we did a seance on the stage in the main hall, the 4 people to the right of me seemed to glow white and when i took a second look all of there faces had grown larger and completely changed into those of very old haggard people, I was overcome with fear at what i saw and couldnt stop myself bursting into tears suddenly. I have never experienced anything like that.
The group we were in were a lovely bunch of people, with very interesting experiences of their own that night. I have already booked myself on to the Nottingham Caves and I am really looking forward to it and hopefully it will be another night to remember.
Cheers and hope to see some of you again in future hunts

My brother and I would like to say what a great time we had with you and the team at hyde town hall on halloween. we both experienced paranormal activity, including being touched and pushed. my brother had a stone thrown at him when he pulled a wooden cross out of his pocket which he said he had brought for protection! before we were told about emily, the little girl in the courtyard who was killed by a horse and carriage, I noticed him scratching the side of his face, he said he felt like someone was pulling his hair and stroking his face! the manager then explained that emily liked to pull hair and touch people.
When we were in the grand hall where the stage was, I saw two white blobs floating behind the curtain, I didnt say anything because it actually looked like a minature snowman and I thought it was my eyes playing tricks. however, I now believe them to be orbs, something that I was unaware of before I came to the event.
By far the best place was the mortuary, with two girls being thrown off a table, shuffling noises and an unexplained loud bang which scared us all.
Chris the medium said he saw a man in a millitary uniform called john morris, I knew I had great great relatives of this surname so I checked it out with my dad and guess what, my great great grandfather was called john morris!
I experienced sensations in different parts of the building, including feeling hot and cold, and sick on the stairs under the stage as well as a smell of death. I didnt tell anyone, but a girl in our group said she felt the same in the same place and that she could see a woman laid at the bottom of the stairs with a broken neck!
Please thank all the team for us.
we are looking to book with you again soon
