When you say the words Pendle Hill to anybody who has ever heard of it, people automatically think of the Pendle Witches. This was bought to life in the most sinister way by the Most Haunted Team when they visited the area 4 years ago on their Live show.
Knowing how difficult it would be to bring the story to life for our guests, we enlisted the help of Simon Entwistle. Simon did a fantastic job of portraying the history of Pendle Hill, Clitheroe and the Pendle Witches to our guests. It is by any stretch of the imagination a very difficult place to investigate, particularly as we wanted to give our guests the best experience that we could of this notoriously famous area.
With the help of Simon, The wonderful food and hospitality of the Pendle Hotel, The guests, the team and the Stoke Radio Crew I believe that we achieved everything we set out to do. This was our very first event here and everyone entered into the spirit of the unknown with so much enthusiasm and open mindedness and this really enhanced the event.
The barn that we visited had some strange activity in it particularly on the ouija board. The radio Crew, Carolyn and Sam got some really good stuff aswell in terms of light
anomalies, tapping etc. The Hill itself was quiet but absolutely amazing. Standing there at 2am was the most surreal moment I think I have ever had in terms of ghost hunting and really epitomises what this is all about. Although quiet, it was sinister and very foreboding.
The visit to the graveyard was a real eyeopener and I could see on the guest's faces how fascinated they were with the Pendle Story.
We managed to fit so much in one event I am sure that everybody is exhausted. My true thanks to everyone for making our first expedition here such a wonderful event for everybody. This will always be remembered by me for all the right reasons. - Hazel
