The sad sight of chidrens graves, and guests feeling agitated and watched are just some of the phenomena at this magnificent but very haunted building. Many rooms seem to hold a presence as this location has some very sinister goings on.
Layer Marney Tower dates back to the days of Henry VIII and as with many large estates of this type there are many sinister and entrancing tales related to it. Layer Marney Tower was owned originally by Lord Henry Marney who died in 1523 with the home incomplete. It was then passed onto his son who completed the building work. Layer Marney Tower was left without a male heir when he unfortunately died 2 years later. Henry VIII made the decision to oversee this location due to its importance and therefore retained its fine standing.
There are many haunted areas in this building and we have been given exclusive access to all of them. We have even been given access to the Tower which is very haunted and where some terrifying activity has been witnessed by many. You will even be able to carry out a vigil in the haunted Medieval Barn. The only area which is out of bounds to us really is the roof area and this is for health and safety reasons.
The paranormal activity at Layer Marney Tower is rife and includes apparitions of many kinds. Doors slamming behind you is also a regular occurrence.
We are going to follow in the footsteps of Most Haunted as we investigate this amazing location for the very first time. Be part of our first experience here and help us to document what is certain to be a very frightening and intense night of ghost hunting
