If you want to enjoy an excellent ghost hunt coupled with one of our spooky psychic suppers then look no further than the Historical Moat House situated in the heart of Tamworth. You can join the Team when we go and investigate this amazing property which has a wealth of haunting activity associated with it.
It is purported that walking the second floor corridors is the ghost of a young girl. We will not tell you her name as it is important that we allow our Medium to pick up the essence of this spirit. However, what we can tell you is that It is believed she was locked in the tower by her father and died in a fire that originated from a burning candle.
The Moat House is over 500 years old and is located in what were once the grounds of Tamworth Castle. Built in 1572 by William Comberford as a family home, it sits on the banks of the River Tame. Some famous visitors include Charles I who stayed in the property in August 1619. In 1815 the Moat House became a Lunatic Asylum. It eventually became a restaurant which is what it remains today.
Join us as we undertake an investigation to try and work out what it is that makes The Moat House such a terrifying location in the dead of the night. After your candlelit supper where you will be able to chat to the Medium and the team about your own experiences, you will be working with us throughout the night. You will be carrying out workshops and using the traditional and up to date ghost hunting equipment in your investigation. You will be able to carry out lone vigils or seances in the most haunted area of the location if you feel brave enough to do so.
Come and join us for a night to remember. After a guided tour with our Spiritualist Medium. There will be plenty of opportunites for you to explore the building and surrounding grounds. Will you be able to make contact with the spirits of The Moat House and to experience whatever or whoever it is that lurks here.
