Bolling Hall was a family home for over 5 centuries and has views that carry over the city towards the landscape beyond. The most recent alterations are 2 hundred years old.

When you come to Bolling Hall on your ghost hunt you will believe that only the rich could possibly have lived in this very grand building. However, what was notable was that the inhabitants of Bolling Hall never have been that grand.

The owners were not very good at choosing the winning sides of the wars they had backed. One owner lost the land when he chose the wrong rose in the Wars of the Roses. A century later another owner backed the losing side of the civil war and lost the land.

It has always been a family home and this is really demonstrated even now by the way that it is furnished. It gives you a strong idea of what life was like at varying times over the centuries.

There are plenty of places to investigate including the huge kitchen where a lot of paranormal activity has been witnessed. There are plenty of reception rooms where strange noises and cigar smoke can be detected. Is this the cigar smoke of the gentlemen who entertained their friends whilst lounging in the drawing room?

The furniture is a sight to behold. Intricate carvings on the old oak furniture, the stained glass of the huge window area, heavily curtained beds and beams galore. There is a strange blood stain on the floor which is very noticeable and has strange stories attached to it.

There are endless rooms to investigate at this location and we have exclusive access to all of them. The hauntings are varied and many. There is the story of the ghost seen at the end of the bed by William Walker (owner of the Hall). This was thought to be the ghost or spirit of Richard Oastler a keen visitor to the Hall. Many reported sightings have included figures walking through walls in some of the secret passages, noises which sound as if somebody is deeply in conversation with somebody as it has many gaps in between the sentences. Tapping, smells, knocking and doors banging. This is what you have to look forward to on your event at Bolling Hall. Are you brave enough??

This event includes a short history tour of the fascinating building by a local historian. He will bring the building to life and set the scene for what lies ahead.

You will be accompanied by our Medium and Paranormal Team. You will be able to use our ghost hunting equipment and have demonstration of the best ways to ghost hunt.

Refreshments will be served throughout the night including snacks and crisps.
