Woodchester Mansion is located at the bottom of a Cotswold Valley and is a Victorian building that looks as if it has made time itsef stand still. The building itself is a remarkable reminder of French Gothic Revival. This scary building is Grade 1 listed and is surrounded by National Trust Parkland.
There is so much to tell you about ghost hunting at Woodchester Mansion that it is difficult to choose those things that will help you to understand its chilling history. It has been visited by ASSAp and The Ghost Club who found that there was a lot of poltergeist and paranormal activity, that dark shadows had been seen and there were many apparitions of WW1 soldiers. There were also EVP recordings and severe temperature changes. Outside of the building there have been sightings of ghosts of Roman Soldiers marching with what can only be described as the headless horse. There are documented hauntings including a Roman Centurion who patrols the Colossal Iron Gates. The building is seemingly protected by grotesque Gargoyles who leer from above. You will thoroughly enjoy a Ghost Hunt here in this ghostly atmosphere.
Inside the house there are some very shocking discoveries. A TV team discovered that there had been several murders committed at Woodchester Mansion, one of which includes a servant girl who was strangled. The grim discovery of these murders was not suprising to the Psychic Mediums investigating the Mansion.
One of the more interesting and active areas is the kitchen where a pendulum clock has ceased to move and then re started itself. In previous Ghost hunts the paranormal activity included table moving and strange and eerie screams. It has a haunted reputation which goes hand in hand with its overwhelming foreboding atmosphere.
There are a lot of nooks and crannys which only serve to make this building seem even more chilling, if that were possible

This was my first ghost hunt, that I have wanted to do for years. It was worth waiting for! The moving of the glass and table tipping was very exciting, the table tipping on one leg in the direction of Richard was amazing, no one could have held or pushed the table , was this paranormal? It was so cool. Thank you. Even though the location looked very foreboding I felt very calm throughout the night.
