The Heanor Spiritualist Circle, who preside over most of the Midnight Vigils, have awarded Falstaffs a certificate stating that we are one of the most haunted properties in Britain (a fact that has been confirmed by dozens of other psychics, mediums and paranormal investigators) with over 40 spirits roaming the building.

Regularly met ghosts include William Shrieve (the first known owner of the property), John Davies (a rather unpleasant spirit who, in life, is believed to have had a penchant for rape and murder) and Lucy (the spirit of an eight year old girl who likes to rearrange the museum at night).
