21 Henley Street
21 Henley Street is a building shrouded in history. It has been many things over the centuries and is now looked upon by the residents of Stratford with trepidation and mystique. In the past 450 years it has been visited by royalty, housed secret meetings and been the place of death and tragedy.
The building is a short walk from Shakespeare's birth place and was already a coaching Inn during his lifetime. The chances are that he would have been a regular at 21 Henley Street.
Spread over 3 floors there is plenty to investigate. There is the haunted Chamber where you could spend the night alone, or the Apothecary where many a ghost has been sighted. Perhaps you will dare to go up to the top floor where there is a presence that has terrified many to the point of feeling and being sick. The nursery itself is a place where terror has been felt on behalf of the children who have been so brutally punished there.
Here you can soak in the atmosphere and gain a real sense of the thrill of spirit and ghostly activity and where better to do this than at 21 Henley Street. ~There are said to be well over 40 spirits at this location with new ones being experienced on a regular basis. Who will you encounter?
